Andrew Brengle is a senior research analyst, and has been at KLD since February 2000.

Andrew is responsible for environmental research at KLD. His research focuses primarily on the utilities sector, although he also has followed energy, basic materials, and transportation-related sectors.  His responsibilities cover the range of environmental concerns, from climate change and natural resource stewardship to industry environmental management systems.

Andrew participates in the management of several KLD indexes.  In 2005, he led development of KLD's first international index, the KLD Global Climate 100 Index, which was launched in July of that year.  The index follows the financial and environmental performance of 100 companies that KLD has identified as leaders in corporate responses to climate change.

Andrew is also involved in the review of corporate sustainability reports for Ceres and advises on corporate social responsibility reporting policy.

Prior to KLD, he worked as a daily news reporter, newsletter editor, and in corporate communications for a multinational engineering firm.  Andrew has a master's degree in Urban and Environmental Policy from Tufts University and an undergraduate degree in English from Harvard.
