Jed Sturman manages the KLD Global Climate 100 Index (GC100). He is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and client communications associated with the GC100 and chairs the Index committee. In addition, he coordinates the marketing efforts for the KLD Index Team.
Jed began his career as a financial analyst for the National Park Service. Later, he moved to North Carolina where he worked for the Brightleaf Capital hedge fund, did consulting work for the Cherokee Mainstream GreenHome initiative and helped construct the 2007 Mission Impact report of portfolio companies for SJF Ventures. Jed is a Fellow of the StartingBloc Institute for Social Innovation where he gained leadership training for sustainability and social entrepreneurship.
During the summer of 2004, he spent two months living in Madagascar as a research assistant to help conserve the golden crowned sifaka lemur. In 2006, he trekked gorillas in Uganda before attending the International Primatological Society conference, which discussed conservation efforts and the growth of eco-tourism.
Jed earned a B.A. from Bucknell University with majors in Economics and Psychology.
He currently serves as the Communications VP for the Boston Net Impact professional chapter. Jed is also the co-founder and managing director for TD Athletes Edge, LLC, which provides aquatic training to high-level athletes.
