Michelle Lapolla manages KLD's consulting department, which provides prospective and current clients with research services that fall outside KLD's Socrates and Compliance products. Her responsibilities include
developing social investing and proxy voting guidelines, auditing portfolios, screening customized universes, and developing and supporting specialized SRI products for KLD clients. Her research specialties include animal welfare issues, stem cell research, and emerging markets.

Michelle has a B.A. in International Relations from Tufts University.
