KLD Research & Analytics, Inc. announced on July 7, 2005 the annual reconstitution of its KLD Broad Market SocialSM Index and its KLD Large Cap SocialSM Index. The largest addition to the KLD BMSI and KLD LCSI this year is Nike, Inc.

Latest EPA Toxic Emissions Data Added to Socrates profiles
KLD has updated its SOCRATES research tool with the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) 2003 Toxic Release Inventory data, the most recent data available. As a result of the project, 105 of the companies covered in SOCRATES now have received a "concern" rating for Substantial Emissions.

A December 2004 survey by Mercer Investment Consultants revealed that 63% of the European and Asian managers surveyed believed that social and environmental criteria would be included in investment decisions in the next five years. Conversely, 63% of the U.S. managers believed it would never happen.
