BOSTON,
MA - March 03, 2006 - KLD Indexes announced today that it added
Gen-Probe Incorporated to the Domini 400 SocialSM
Index (DS 400 Index). KLD Indexes is a division of KLD Research
& Analytics, Inc., an independent investment research firm providing
services for institutional investors and money managers who integrate
environmental, social, and governance factors into their investment
decisions.
Gen-Probe
(NASD: GPRO) was added after the close of trading February 24, 2006.
KLD Indexes added Gen-Probe because it provides a critical health
service: the development and production of blood screening and diagnostic
tests for HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, strep throat, pneumonia, fungal
infections, and West Nile virus. The company has also demonstrated
a commitment to its employees by distributing stock options to all
employees and to diversity by promoting a woman to a senior line
position.
