Corporation Added to KLD's Domini 400 Social Index
BOSTON, MA - April 07, 2004 - KLD Research
& Analytics, Inc., an independent investment research
firm, announced today that Genzyme Corporation (GENZ)
has been added to KLD's Domini 400 SocialSM
Index (DS 400 Index). Genzyme Corporation is headquartered
in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Genzyme
Corporation develops and manufactures drugs and
diagnostic and surgical products for chronic diseases
and serious medical conditions. The company's GelTex
subsidiary manufactures drugs to treat genetic diseases
and produces renal and diagnostic products. The
company's biosurgery unit develops and markets surgical
and biotherapeutic products for the orthopedic and
cardiothoracic markets. Its oncology unit focuses
on developing cancer vaccines and angiogenesis inhibitors.
