ACE-D/HH uses Polycom's ViewStation group video conferencing systems for its national network that teaches best practices for deaf education. The company's high video quality enables signing and lip-reading for those students who are deaf or hard-of-hearing.
- Polycom works with Medical Missions for Children, a nonprofit organization that seeks to improve the level of medical care available to children in poor and remote areas of the U.S. and other countries through the use of sophisticated telecommunications technology. Participating hospitals in developing countries can videoconference with hospitals and medical specialists in the U.S. for help with diagnosis and treatment for children with severe medical conditions.
