Yes. You can easily exclude from your portfolio(s) companies with involvement in controversial lines of business, including abortion, adult entertainment, alcohol, contraceptives, firearms, gambling, military, nuclear power, and tobacco.
Can I screen companies out of my client’s portfolio based on environmental performance?
Definitely. You can choose to include companies based on their environmental strengths or environmental concerns. The strengths and concerns are KLD’s definitions of positive and negative company performance, respectively, and cover a wide range of environmental subtopics.

Will KLD PASS tell me how KLD defines a company’s strengths and concerns?
Yes. After you’ve logged into KLD PASS and have a company profile on the screen, you can move your cursor over the strength or concern to see its definition.
Can KLD PASS update me when companies in my portfolios change their KLD PASS/fail status?
Yes, it can. With a function called the Portfolio Manager, KLD PASS can email you when your portfolio(s) change.
